Two of our biggest values: sustainable and ethical manufacturing. When it comes to clothing production, we strive to reduce waste in every way. Our manufacturers use newer, more efficient dye machines, which use 7x less water than the average clothing manufacturers, saving 24 million gallons a week. The water they do use goes through a filtration system that allows it to be recycled. Our manufacturers are green through and through - taking every opportunity to reduce co2 emissions. At the manufacturing headquarters, they use solar energy to power the sewing and cutting facilities, motion-sensor LED lighting and skylights throughout each building, and electric car charging stations to encourage employees to go green.
In dealing with the ethics of clothing production, we make sure we work with manufacturers with fair wages and no sweatshops. Our factories in California have been manufacturing in the U.S. and internationally in a no-sweat-shop, humane, sustainable way since day one. They have Platinum W.R.A.P. certification, and work very hard to make their sewing and cutting floors pleasant, productive, comfortable places to be. A few principles that the WRAP certification includes are human resources management, health and safety standards, environmental and eco-friendly practices, and legal compliance including import/export, customs compliance and security standards.
Not only do our manufacturers care about their employees and the environment, but they continue to create thousands of American jobs. Our California factories are the largest dyers and cutters of apparel in the US, employing over 1,000 workers in their LA facilities. By shopping with us, you are supporting a small business who values the importance of American made products and creating jobs for the American people
